परिचय
Gangeran (Grewia tenax) is a small thorny shrub of the Indian desert margins bearing bright orange berries. It is a close relative of the phalsa and shares its cooling character.
Ayurveda uses the fruit as a Balya and Pittahara drug in weakness and burning, and it has a long folk record as a strengthening food in arid regions.
