Arogya Vardhani Vati

Arogyavardhini Vati means "the promoter of health". It is recorded in the Rasaratna Samuchchaya and is one of the most widely prescribed Rasa (herbo-mineral) tablets in Ayurvedic practice, especially for the liver, digestion and skin. What it contains: Katuki (Picrorhiza kurroa) root is the main ingredient at 22 parts, roughly half the formula. It is combined with Triphala, purified Shilajit, Guggulu, Chitraka root, purified Parada (mercury) and Gandhaka (sulphur), and the Bhasmas of Loha (iron), Abhraka (mica) and Tamra (copper).
