About this formulation

Chandanasava is a classical cooling tonic fermented around Chandana (Santalum album), the sandalwood prized for pacifying heat. Traditionally used for burning micturition, urinary-tract infections, painful or excessive urinary discharge and generalised Pitta heat, it soothes and cools the urinary passages and calms an over-heated system. Its Pitta-pacifying, mildly diuretic herbs support healthy, comfortable urine flow and relieve the burning and irritation of urinary complaints. Working on the Mutravaha channel, Chandanasava restores cooling balance. As a naturally fermented Asava it is gentle and readily absorbed, prepared to classical standards and batch-tested for purity.

Classical reference: Bhaishajya Ratnavali (Mutrakrichra / Pittaja Chikitsa Prakarana).
