About this formulation
Balarishta is a classical strengthening tonic fermented around Bala (Sida cordifolia), a herb renowned for restoring depleted muscle and nerve tissue. Traditionally used for neuromuscular weakness, joint pain, stiffness and Vata-driven debility, it rebuilds strength, improves mobility and nourishes the musculoskeletal and nervous systems. Its potent Vata-pacifying, Brihana (nourishing) action makes it valuable in convalescence and age-related weakness. Working on the Mamsavaha and Majjavaha channels, Balarishta calms aggravated Vata and rebuilds tissue. As a naturally fermented Arishta it is gentle on digestion, prepared to classical standards and batch-tested for purity.
Classical reference: Bhaishajya Ratnavali (Vata Vyadhi Chikitsa Prakarana).
