Saptamrit Loha — the seven nectars with iron — is Triphala and Yashtimadhu carried on Loha Bhasma. Bhaishajya Ratnavali places it in the Netraroga chapter for weakness of vision, eye strain and Timira, and it is equally described for Raktapitta and Pandu. It is traditionally taken with honey and ghee in unequal parts, or with milk, and is one of the gentler iron-bearing classical preparations.
Classical reference: Bhaishajya Ratnavali, Netraroga Chikitsa.
