परिचय
Mochras is the dried gum that seeps from a wound in the trunk of the silk cotton tree (Bombax ceiba) — a reddish-brown, brittle exudate known in the texts as Mocharasa.
It is a purely astringent drug, used wherever there is bleeding or discharge: in heavy menstruation, in dysentery with blood, and in leucorrhoea.
