About this formulation
Mahamasha Taila is a potent classical oil prepared with Masha (black gram) and a large array of Vata-pacifying herbs. Traditionally reserved for serious neuromuscular conditions — facial palsy, hemiplegia, muscle wasting, severe stiffness and Vata-driven paralysis — it deeply nourishes and rebuilds depleted muscle and nerve tissue. Used in Abhyanga and Nasya, its warming, strengthening action mobilises stubborn Vata, restores tone to weakened muscles and supports neurological recovery. Working on the Mamsavaha and Majjavaha channels, Mahamasha Taila is among the strongest classical Vata rejuvenators, best used under guidance and prepared to strict standards.
Classical reference: Bhaishajya Ratnavali (Vata Vyadhi Chikitsa Prakarana).
